Zions National Park, Foto Frenzie #2

We took a trip to St. George last week. Before heading back to Vegas, we made a short trip to Zions National Park. I am so glad we went, it was beautiful!

This is a picture from the back side of Weaping Rock.

The view from Weaping Rock was so pretty! Zions is amazing in the fall!

Casen was very excited to get out and climb around on his own!

This is my Case

The Girls

Brinley was very excited to walk across this log, even the 10th time.

After a break we got ready for another hike.... forgot the name of it already!

Brinley decided she needed to stretch before hike #2. This is one of the MANY stretches she did.

Wow! Once I got a chance to look at this picture I realized we really were on the edge of a cliff! It was well worth it though, cause the view was beautiful!

Brinley insisted on "super jumping" the whole way down. Yeah, I would say she is a pretty good "super jumper." Is there an olympic category for that?

On our way home we stopped to the some ostriches. Brinley announced "These are the biggest birds in the world. Too big to even fly." And she was right :)

My little helper!

Brinley insisted on peeling the potatoes "all my by self." She did pretty good, one whole potato peeled in just ten minutes :)

Brinley loves helping me in the kitchen. I hope this continues for a long time!

Taming the Twosome

Brinley and Casen both LOVE to play with their Daddy. They love wrestling, playing hide and seek, and piggy back rides. And ofcourse they love to be tickled.

One of the few times I could get them to sit still, it didn't last very long.

Brinley and Casen have started a new game... Brinley likes to call it "There's a monkey on my back." Casen holds on for dear life to Brinley's shirt, while she tries to whip him off. This is the before picture.

This is the after :)

Brinley and Casen love to hide anywhere they can. I often find them in one of our cupboards or toy box. This time they are in an entertainment center.

Grandma Q brought Brinley and Casen Christmas presents, they were both very excited to open them. Thanks for the cute nativity, ornament, and music box!

Last week while I was getting ready for church, I could hear laughter coming from below me in the toy room. I finally decided to go check it out, and THIS is what I found. I couldn't help but let them finish off the carton :)

These two little ones have a lot of fun together. It is fun to see them play together now that Case is a little bigger.

Busted!

Case is always getting into mischief. Usually I don't have time for pictures, but this time I caught him. His face is white from licking the flour off the flour.

Although this may look like Casen is not in much trouble, he has recently learned that he can climb from his high chair to our kitchen island. I think he was pretty proud of his accomplishment.

You can never leave the fridge door open long with Case around, but this time I am pretty sure Brinley opened it for him. He is grabbing the spaghetti squash off his heel and putting it in his mouth.

Casen gets a Cut!

A hair cut that is. This is actually Casen's second haircut(the first one was done back in August by Aunt Clarissa). I was a little nervous about cutting it myself, but once I got started.... I was even more nervous! Despite how the pictures may look, Casen was not very cooperative. We tried feeding him suckers and fruit snacks, which only led to hair in his mouth and a sticky, hairy mess. Ryan tried singing songs and playing with puppets, but Casen was way too interested in what was happening on his head. Finally after 30 very long minutes we were finished! It is not a perfect hair cut to say the least, but I sure think her looks cute :)

Halloween Overload!

Maddux, Linkin, Casen, Brinley

Halloween AGAIN??? Well actually this is really Halloween. We actually felt like just staying home and doing nothing since we felt our kids had already had enough candy. Not to mention I was tired of putting costumes on. BUT, we felt bad doing nothing and our friends the Deardens talked us into having a little fun. We all grabbed a bite to eat at Cafe Rio and headed to the Stake Trunk or Treat. Well... apparently it was the night before cause we arrived all dressed up and ready to go only to find an empty park! We ended up just heading back to the Dearden's neighborhood and letting the kids trick or treat at five houses. They loved it, and I was glad we did it. Going door to door is always more fun.Notice Brinley is using a purse for trick or treating, she insisted. Casen's favorite part was the suckers of course and Brinley had fun knocking on all the doors. Both of their candy was gone by the time we got home :)

Red Rock Foto Frenzie!

Ahh! I KNOW that is a ton of pictures.... but there are over 200 hundred from the hike that I decided not to post :) Halloween morning was a beautiful 80 degrees, so we decided to go on a family hike. Red Rock Canyon is about 30 minutes from our house and we really enjoy going there. Brinley absolutely loves "climbing rocks" and Casen is usually a pretty good sport about being in the hiking backpack. This time rather then hiking through the valley we decided to climb up part of the mountain. We actually got REALLY high... I kinda questioned our safety once we had to start heading down, but it was still tons of fun. Brinley is a great little climber and had so much fun climbing and jumping off rocks. There were lots of cool rock formations and a great view. It was one of my favorite hikes yet!
