Floyd Lamb State Park - we will be back!

On April 10th we went to Floyd Lamb State Park. I had heard any great things about it, but just didn't quite believe that anything with so many trees, water, animals, and kid-filled fun could be so close to out house... boy was I proved wrong! Just five minutes from our house is this great park for fishing, biking, bbq-ing, etc. The kids had a great time just running around and looking at the baby geese, peacocks and ponds. But as luck would have it they were having a big FREE carnival there that day - perfect! So the kids enjoyed hot dogs, jumpy houses, giant slides, and the all time favorite - petting zoo! The weather was beautiful and it was the perfect family outing! We will definitely be back!

A whole LOT of LITTLE things

So there have been a lot of little things the past month or so that I want to remember, but none of which are big enough for their own post... and so we have one BIG post :)

Brinley loves to dance, and I love to watch her

Casen decides to join the dance party!

Brinley decided to use Grandma's hot pink lipstick to color on the slide, trees, cement, swing, house, door, and BBQ grill. She ended the fun by taking the starter button out of the grill, shoving the lipstick into the hole, and breaking the tip off inside. This is her "cleaning up."

Brinley enjoying the nice weather and coloring with sidewalk chalk

Casen was pretty happy when he found this John Deer hat, and I was pretty happy when I got a cute picture!

With the excitement of Spring we decided to fill a couple planters with beautiful flowers. Brinley and I had a great time planting them together... but I think the kids had even more fun pulling all the flowers out about a week later. Just wish a I had the after picture... or maybe this is the only one I want to remember!

One morning I was getting breakfast for Brinley when I found Casen in our toy box. I think he was pretty proud of his accomplishment.

Some where at the bottom of the crate he found Brinley's bunny ears from her second Easter.

Brinley has always loved coloring and has especially enjoyed it the past couple months. One of her masterpieces :)

Casen really likes tomatoes, I am so glad... they are healthy so I am happy, and he thinks they are yummy, so he is happy - win/win.

Sometimes he would rather play :)

Little miss Brinley is pretty creative, this day she decided to use my oven mitts as gloves and shoes... Casen loves to copy Brinley and he was soon running around with mitts on his feet as well.

Casen LOVES his blanket and his paci. One morning I found him snuggling with them outside :)

A couple weeks ago we had a pretty full house for the babysitting co-op I am part of. Here are all 12 kids eating their carrots, apples, and chex mix.

After 2.5 hours of play, they all tired out and watched a little Jungle Book.

Casie decided to bring her cute niece Summer and join us at co-op that day. They were great company!

Casie and the kiddos playing with Forrest. They just adore them!

Turns out our poor little Casen is allergic to one of his favorite friends... Forrest :( So sad, cause he really does LOVE him... and most other dogs! Casen is saying "Forrr" (Forrest) in this picture :)

Bountiful Baskets Co-op

I seem to be part of quite a few co-ops... preschool, babysitting, and most recently a fresh foods co-op. It is called Bountiful Baskets and it costs $15 for a big basket of fresh fruit and veggies. It has been great food and great fun so far.

They also have items you can add on to your basket, one week we got 12 lbs of strawberries for only $8! We made some yummy strawberry jam :)

This is all the food we got in our first week's basket... all for $15!

We used some of our yummy fruit to make a delicious fruit salad!

The other week I added a Mexican pack and some fresh yummy tortillas. We had some pretty good Mexican food that week!

Quick trip to Red Rock

On April 2nd we made a quick trip up to Red Rock Canyon with the Mohlers. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time.

Brinley was pretty excited about this one little caterpillar... there is more to come.

I thought there were lots of huge spider webs in the bushes... but it turns out they were big caterpillar nests.

The kids were really excited to see all the caterpillers!

Casen thought he looked pretty cool posing for the camera in Brinley's glasses

Brinley and her friends!

Brinley is getting so big! It is crazy think she is big enough to have friends over to play, but she loves it! I got some cute pictures of her with her friends Kylie and Kinley. They had a lot of fun playing outside and jumping of the slide. She has also had a lot of fun with her friends Carolyne and Ava recently! I am so glad she has so many fun little friends!

Brinley flying high!

They also had fun playing on the "jump-o-lene"
