Back to School Night!

The second week of school they had a back to school night for the parents to come see the kids classrooms and what they were doing. Ryan was gone, but Casen, Marlee, and I went to check out Brinley's class. It was a pirate theme and we were given a treasure map and Brinley was supposed to show us around the room and at the end she got a "treasure" from her teacher. It was fun to see where Brinley sat and have a little better idea of what they do. I also go to volunteer in her class a couple weeks ago and I enjoyed getting to see what a day at school is actually like. I think her teacher does a great job considering she has 27 crazy 5 year-olds to keep busy!

Brinley by the pirate pizza's they all made.

Kylie was there the same time as us. She is one of Brinley's best friends in the class.

Marlee was pretty excited to be there :)

Brinley and Mrs. Fellows... Brinley and Casen like to say it Mrs. Fellooooooooows!

This is the board in front of their big floor rug. They do stories, singing time, show and tell, etc. over here. Brinley is always coming home singing fun new songs about letters, shape, months of the year etc. She does such a good job and I can't believe how much she remembers... but sometimes she will forget a line or want help and I just wish I knew all the songs she was being taught!

Brinley's hat, book, pirate ship ad treasure... I figured since we got a picture I could go ahead and throw some of this away, I mean I think we have way to many crafts and school projects to hold on to all of them forever! I carefully hid them in the garbage so that Brinley wouldn't see. Yesterday I was carrying the trash bag to the garage and Brinley spots this little book THREW the bag, ofcourse. It was a disaster. We just can't throw anything out around here!

  1. It looks like a fun teacher and classroom! Andelin has been coming home singing songs as well. I love it because Dallin would never tell me much of anything he was learning.
Wish we were going to be there to see you this weekend.

  2. Seriously, how many projects can one family keep and display? I do the same thing, I throw things away carefully, but I usually get caught. Oh the drama.
