Springs Preserve and Primary Idol!!

The middle of April we met our friend Jess and her kiddos for a morning at the Springs Preserve. We both have passes and I for one need to use ours more!

They had a space exhibit, it wasn't quite what I was hoping for, but the kids still had fun.  Here they are in one of the mock spaceship shuttles beds.

Marlee and Emmy looking for the rabbits. They are about 5 months apart and it's been fun watching Emmy reach different stages and then before I know it Marlee is that stage too!

They have a fun little playground with a train. Casen was pretty excited to have lunch in the train.

Emmy and Brinley ate lunch in the train too, Natalie kept feeding Natalie through the window  :)

PRIMARY IDOL!

Our church Primary put on a "Primary Idol" and each class did a routine.  Brinley's teacher had to work so I had to come up with something the day of the show. One of the girl's Dads in Brinley's class painted a snowman for us... I cut it into several pieces and it ended up being the perfect prop!

Casen was pretty excited about having a guitar and being on stage!

He sure looked cute up there! They did practice so they pretty much stood there and played there guitars, but it was still super cute :)

Our song was called "In the Sun He Melted."  It was a fun mix version of similar to Once their was a Snow Man.  The kids started out each holding a piece of the snowman and then broke apart as the song continued.

I taught the kids the dance in about 30 minutes so I stood on the ground in front of the stage so the kids could follow my stage. Good news is that the kids did awesome and followed my every move... bad news is the whole audience had to watch me do the whole dance from behind. Oh the sacrafices we make for our children :)

Brinley was so into it, I loved watching her!  Holland, Brinley, and Ava

The kids stomped their feet and clapped their hands to the beat of "We will Rock You", the lyrics were changed to "we will melt you".

The song ended with "It's the final melt down! And all the kids melted to the ground!

We had so much fun and I hope Brinley always remembers it!
