Perfect Park Picnic!

Middle of May we had a little picnic at a park/bike trail with the Nyes and Blanchards. We weren't sure where to go for our get together and wanted to meet somewhere in the middle... so I found this park with a long bike trail and then Jess went and checked it out. It was the perfect place! TONS of green grass (not so often found at Vegas parks or bike trails), big trees, playgrounds, and hardly any people! It was such a great evening! Most of my pictures didn't turn out for some reason, but I stole some from Jess' blog :)

 

The Nyes were generous as always and treated all of us to pizza! 

 

Marlee loves when we picnic cause then she can sit with the rest of us :) Oh and cause she loves food!

Nate, Deloy, and Ryan. Nate and Ryan were great friends at BYU in ROTC.  Deloy and Nate were great friends in highschol. When we moved to Las Vegas we met Michelle and Deloy and made the connection that Nate and Jess were here in Vegas too. We have all been friends since and we love both their families!!

Marlee had fun at the park and I loved watching her run around. She climbed up the stairs and slid down the slide all on her own for the first time ever. It was so cute and I wish I could have got a shot!

 

We then went on out much anticipated "bike ride." The kids had a blast! Unfortunately we weren't quite as fast as the kiddos! It was such a beautiful area to ride at!

We ended the bike ride when we reached another play ground. After a break playing around we headed back. Case was especially excited :)
