The night after getting home for Colorado we had a giant hail storm. By some miracle the kids slept through it and since Ryan was gone I had to enjoy it all by myself! But I grabbed this shot of the hail and texted it to Ryan and then saved some in the freezer for the kids :) I love big rain/hail storms!
Casen woke up two mornings in a row with dried blood dripping out of his ear. Turns out he had a serious inner ear infection and one of his tubes had been messed up probably from the pressure. The ENT said we will have to get the tubes removed if they don't come out on their own by December.. it will be 2 years this December that he had them put in.
I go to Zumba at our church building every once in a while, and Marlee usually has a hard time. She had been doing a little better now that I let her bring her baby stroller :)
After Flip n' Out we went to Cafe Rio with the Mendozas. They had never been, had to introduce them! :)
We were to close to U-Swirl not to go! I love the fun seating they have there!
DJ surprised Casen with a birthday gift! He was so excited and has loved playing with it!
The kids "dyed" there hair, and yes, were actually seen in public like this! :)
Brinley yelled out one morning that she saw a scorpion and so I came running and didn't see a thing! Took a while to see this little baby scorpion! So upsetting! I hate scorpions and ofcourse these baby once are the worst. Found a big one the next day. Sure wish bug guys could actually get rid of these!
Marlee and her helping us with the bedtime routine :)
Casen watching tv sideways. I've always thought this was so cute...Casen had to get his eyes checked cause the pediatrician thought he had a lazy eye. Turns out it's just a quirk that he watches tv sideways :) although he does have a slight muscle imbalance they have to keep an eye on :)
Marlee helping Brinley play Twister. It was fun playing with the kids.
Brinley asked me to take a pic of her doing this and send it to Ryan. She sure missed him!
Our air conditioning broke the first week of August! We got so lucky and it was a rainy week and was only 89 degrees in our house, could have been worse! Turns out this bent coil that caused the unit to break! $2,600 later we are cool again :)
Every time it rains a lot here tons of rocks and dirt washed down into the streets. Makes me kinda nervous for if we ever had a serious down pour here!
You can't tell from the picture, but this sunset was beautiful. I got to go to the temple with my friend Kacie Berrett the end of July and when we walked out there was such a beautiful sunset. There is such peace in the temple and I always hate leaving. Coming out and seeing the beautiful sunset just made me continue to feel the love of my Heavenly Father and His constant presence in our lives.
Flip n' Out with friends!
Daphne and Brinley
Hot and tired kids from jumping! I love Marlee in this picture :)
The kids and I helped me take down our old bookcase and put together a new one. It was much needed. They stacked the books in the background so well :)
Yay for a new shelf!
Didn't we do good?? I had no idea it would take 4 hours!!
I traded in my Blendtec for Vitamix after 1.5 years and couldn't be happier! Love the larger canister and the "wand" to push the food in.
Brinley sprayed me with water after asking her not to and I jumped up and slammed my phone... couldn't believe how bad it was shattered! I had the screen replaced 2 hrs later!
Marlee loves our little kitchen. Glad it is getting used again!
Last play date with McKinley and Kylie! So sad they are gone!!
Becky's baby shower for Piper. It was such a fun shower with fun games, great prizes, yummy food, and ofcourse great company!
LOVE her
Marlee building her first block tower!
Brinley "designed" this hair-do. "two braids from the front on each side, twisting together and braided into pig-tail briads in the back" She is always making up "fancy" hair-do's :)
Last night out with Rochelle! SO sad that she had moved to North Carolina, but happy for this new job and home they now have! We will miss her! Michelle, Ashley, and I had a great time getting to have dinner and shop with her at Tivoli before she left.

I don't even know where to start. I'm so proud that you weren't even scared during that hail storm all alone...and you even liked it! I really love the bookshelf shot. Looking at all these pictures just makes me so grateful to know you and your cute kids!
