One morning I loaded the kids up and took the subway to the Brooklyn Bridge. We walked all the way up it. The kids had fun and I enjoyed the beautiful view!
I love the pics that make it look like we were here all on our own, but the reality is that pretty much everywhere in NYC is crowded!
This is the view from the bridge. It really is a beautiful city.
After the bridge we got some SUPER yummy waffles from a van :) They were awesome!
After waffles I watched as these crazy kids of mine ran around playing tag. They all had so much fun. A nice difference than all the business people walking around the square :)
We headed to this little park inside of Central Park. After getting off the subway we had to walk a couple blocks, I love the townhouses on this side of town. So beautiful. Would be a neat place to live if we really lived in NYC.
We had fun at the park, but the water was freezing and the shade didn't help!
Casen and Marlee played so well, he was "helping" her all around the playground.
We tried out this cute little cafe recommended from a friend (Rebecca Rasmussen). We met Hilary and her kids there and enjoyed a yummy Italian dinner together.
The kids and I went to play at Madison Square and then headed over to Eatily for lunch, when we noticed this smoke right in front of where we were going to eat!
It was crazy to see these flames in the middle of the street. There was big crowds of people, but the kids and I were all able to get a pretty good view of the van that had caught on fire.
Better view of the van. After getting a good look we headed over to Eataly for lunch.
Fresh pasta at Eataly! Seriously everything there looked so yummy! This fresh foccocia bread was AMAZING! So many yummy flavors! The tomato and cheese was probably my favorite. We had to go back for more a couple times before our time in NYC ended.
Marlee looking out the window at the van that had burned.
Marlee showing Daddy pictures on my phone of adventures from the previous day.
One night we went to the Tribeca area near the Twin Towers and spent some time on the park near the Hudson River.
It was beautiful!
Casen raced as fast as he could! He was pretty quick! They had all these fun things for the kids to play on!
Brin and I hung out near the water for a little while. We could even see the Statue of Liberty.
This was a cool piece of playground equipment with all these "bikes" connected in a circle. The kids had a lot of fun on it... there was a cute little girl who took charge and pushed everyone really fast.
The sunset over the river looked beautiful.

We got dinner at a place called Bubby's after the park, it was so yummy. "Farm fresh" We even met the outside afterwards, the kids had fun talking to him. He had 4 kids just like we soon will have.
We got into the Museum of Natural History for free with Ryan's work. It was pretty neat. Marlee loved all the animals.
This shows just how much Casen did NOT LOVE the museum! I mean come on, dinosaurs!? I thought he would love this stuff!
Casen built this little trailer for his motorcyle... he said Ryan was driving, then Darlene, Dale and I were riding in the back :)
Such a beautiful bridge!
Just waiting around for the subway! So glad we were safe on all our trips on the subway. Not going to lie, a little scary with 3 little kids!
This was an awesome antique shop on the way to Ryan's work. Pretty neat inside, but I didn't see too much as I was trying to keep the kids from breaking things.
In the sink. AGAIN. Love this crazy cute girl!
The kids and I literally RAN 1.5 miles through the RAIN to the movie theater and met Hilary and her kids to watch Discpicable Me 2. The whole time I was thinking, "What was I thinking!?"

Marlee's first movie in over a year! She did pretty good, the popcorn helped.
Hilary and I went out one night to Magnolia Baker and Bloomingdales. I did my hair all curly and it lasted about 2 seconds. Left picture is after getting wet and standing in the bakery... and then totally destroyed shortly after.
Bloomingdales! The lights looked beautiful at night!
I saw this dress in Dylan's Candy store! It is made out of CANDY! I remember seeing it on project runway and thinking it was so cool!
We went to the gym a couple times every week. It was always a nice outlet! Brinley saw my outfit and decided to match me! :)
Walking to our favorite park! Brinley always did her Heely's and just rolled along side the stroller while I pushed, but every once in a while she would push for me.
Marlee's pouty face, I can't even be mad, just makes me smile!

I am loving reading about all your adventures. You totally lived one of my dreams... to live in NYC for a little bit. So fun!
