Like Sister, Like Brother

Casen sure wants to be like his big sister Brinley! If she has something, he wants it. If she is doing something, he does it. We are trying to teach Brinley that she needs to be a good example. Sometimes if we are struggling with behavior we remind her she needs to be a good example... and sometimes it works, but sometimes it doesn't :)


Most mornings Casen wakes up first... usually by 6:30. We head down stairs and grab a banana and juice before we sit on the couch. When Brinley comes down it is time for cartoons and cereal. This morning Brinley decided she wanted to sit at the coffee table instead of the kitchen table... and ofcourse Casen had to join her.




Despite weird windy weather during the month of May, we had a couple warm days. We pulled out the sprinkler and had a little fun in the sun. Brinley loves jumping off the slide onto the "bouncy thing". Even though I don't have a picture of Casen jumping off the top, he ofcourse had to try it too. He has acquired a few extra bruises since he has started this stunt.



I LOVE the new picnic table we got in April. It holds 8 kids, has an umbrella, collapses for storage, and my kids actually use it all the time! Here they are having lunch after the short-lived water day.





And here they are having breakfast :)


We have found a couple lady bugs in our yard lately. Brinley is pretty brave with bugs... so ofcourse Casen is now too. I don't mind when Brinley walks up with a lady bug... but I am not a fan of Casen walking up with cockroaches!


Despite Casen being "all boy" he still loves to play dress up with Brinley, after all what are little brothers for?



Even though most the time Casen is trying to be like Brinley, sometimes she insists on being like him too. Like this day when he was a little grouchy from an ear ache and just wanted to lay on Daddy, she just couldn't be left out!
