Morning of the first day of school, was a little dramatic. Brinley's ears were infected (apparently she can't wear sterling silver), and she had some bad stomach problems :( Fortunately our sweet neighbors Ed and Pat brought her some donuts for her first day of school. She informed them she wasn't going, but they said they thought donuts could help her feel better... and they were right! Yay! After a few donuts she was excited again :)
She choose her outfit and got ready to go... and ofcourse had to model it.
Love this face :)
Casen, excited for Brinley on her first day of school :)
Brinley and Kinley anxiously waiting for the bell to ring!
So glad she was happy! No tears from her... no tears from me....
The only tears shed were by Casen :( Poor kid, he was sad to have his sister go. The first few days were pretty hard, but he is doing good now :) I think starting preschool 2 days a week is helping!
The next day Kylie got to come to school and the girls were so excited!Gracelyn, Brinley, Kylie, Kinley, Tre, and Casen
The first day and week went great! She loves her teacher, Mrs. Fellows... "Mrs. Fell-oooooowwwssss" as Brinley would say it :) She was so excited to come home and tell me all about the first day of school. She sits between two boys, both have dark skin and curly hair, she said she thinks they might be twins :) They get to keep their pencil box in their own desk at school. They have computers in their classroom. The first day they got to go and visit the art teacher, who is a man, and is bald :) She is very excited to go to a DIFFERENT class room for art. She already learned sign language for "I have to go potty" and "I need a drink"... that way they don't shout too much in class. She said she usually doesn't get to play at recess because they take too long to eat their snack (recess is only 10 min). She was so excited to make new friends and has met a few other little girls in the class... but is still very glad to have some of her old friends in their with her! Brinley has announced that they call their bum their "sunshine" and school and now insists that we call it that too! Mrs. Fellows sprinkles "smart dust" on the kids, she said you can't see it or feel it, but that it really does make you smarter :) I think we will have one fun school year ahead of us!
