Finishing up January and finally ALL CAUGHT UP!

For the first time since Marlee was born I am "all caught up" on my blog, yay! It seems appropriate since she is turning 1 yr old this month! Come on, it only took me a year to get back on track :)

Casen, Kylie, McKinley, Brinley, and Daphne

After a long Christmas Break from school, Brinley was very excited to get back and see her friends! They celebrated the first day back to school with a little pizza party :)

This is my friend Ashley and I just love her! We were great friends in highschool but have only seen eachother once since and that was about 7 years ago. Now we each have 3 kids, crazy! She lives in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and made a trip to Vegas for some some training (she is a personal trainer). I was able to meet up with her for a couple hours and we had so much fun catching up!

Brinley doing her homework and Casen practicing tracing his name.

Marlee is a little scavenger. She will steal food at any chance she gets. Here is what she stole from Casen when we had grilled cheese and tomato soup picnic in the family room :)

I traced the kids bodies and then they got to color them in. Brinley tried to copy the shirt she has on in the previous picture. I was surprised she chose to color her hair brown, I guess it's not as blonde as it used to be!

Marlee can often be found in this drawer while I am getting ready for the day

She has also become quite the little climber and can be found on chairs...

Or on top of tables :)

One cold and windy afternoon we headed over to the church with some friends and played dodge ball in the gym, it was actually really fun :)

The 3 girls ganged up on Joe!

Go Case!

This is our neighbor Pat, her and her husband Ed are so sweet to us. She turned 72 in January and we brought her a little cake for her birthday. She was really excited since she hadn't had a home-made birthday cake in a long time. I was glad we could help make her day a little better.

Love this girl

Casen found this whole pirate set complete with hat, eye patch, and sword, all for $1 at the Dollar Tree! It was quite the find and he has loved it. One of the best dollars I've ever spent :)

I LOVE sleeping babies. Makes my heart happy.

Ryan, Brinley, Casen, and I all have pictures of us sitting on the dishwasher around age one, hanging on our stairway... this picture will soon be added to the bunch.

Still loving the pirate gear!

Casen likes to say, "Who likes me!?" and then shoots his hand up in the air and waits for up to do the same :) So on Ryan's b-day I asked the kids, "Who likes Dad!?" and sent Ryan this pic. He was in San Fransisco on his birthday, sad day

After hours cleaning the house, I come down from my shower to find the kids new fort :)

The type of cereal we get when Ryan goes shopping! Brinley told me "Dad can never go shopping again huh? Cause all he buys is SUGAR cereal!"

Ryan likes to relax in his basketball shorts after work and Casen has followed the trend and has insisted on wearing "basketballs" nearly every day for the past year! Brinley was feeling left out and so threw on some soccer shorts :) I thought they all looked pretty cute!

Celebrating Ryan's 32nd birthday! After a long weekend away he enjoyed opening a few presents with the kids.

The kids help me make this for Ryan, we had a lot of fun and I think Ryan actually liked it.

Ryan loves to have apple pie for his birthday and so we decided to make Pioneer Woman's "Flat Rustic Apple Pie"

Yes, more food.... I miss good fresh fruit in the winter and we scored with fresh fruit at the grocery store, so I was excited to make a yummy fruit salad!

  1. Isn't that so funny about husband's doing the grocery shopping?! Kris would buy the SAME kind of cereal...and other kinds of food. I'm sure Marin would be thrilled, lol! Our babies are going to be turning ONE, yikes!!

  3. That's your trainer friend that got you the sweet gear! :) Oh man, that fort your kids built looks IDENTICAL to the ones my kids do. No matter how much I warn them that they will have to put it all back, they pile it on.
