March Madness 2012!

I thought that March was busy busy, but April is shaping up to be even more so! I don't know why I take SO many pictures, I just can't help it :) And if I take so many pictures then I have to put them somewhere! So here are the many many "leftover" pictures from March!

Playing school with the Winward girls. Brinley was the teacher... wish kids would listen that intently to me!

Casen playing a little b-ball. He loves sports so much, I hope he is good at them one day cause I know he sure wants to be! And ofcourse I think he's pretty good now :)

I love Casen's face in this one. It may not look like it, but Marlee loves riding the roller coaster with the big kids, she get upset everytime we have to stop.

One day when Brinley was especially mad at Casen, she went upstairs, made this sign, and hung it on her door. If you need help reading the message (it kinda skips around), it is as follows: I let no boys aloud. Not Casen. I hate boys. (back to the top) Love Dad. I do not. I do not love Casen. Only Dad can come in." A couple days later I realized the picture in the middle is a boy with lots of crosses through him :) haha. I do not encourage this behavior, but she has never done anything like this before and it was too funny not to remember!

Handsome Casen serenading us with a little "Oh Baby" (Justin Beiber)

Ryan turned on the shower to warm up and didn't close the door all the way, Marlee found her way in :)

I have a hard time getting Marlee to eat GREEN vegetables. We never really eat peas but I thought I would give them a try for Marlee and she loves them. I heated them on the stove and ofcourse let them cool... but she insisted on eating straight from the pan.

Ryan's Squadron had a big spouse day at Nellis AFB. I went with my friend Mandi and we had a good time... lots of fun talking, and interesting tours as well. Here I am in a "Mig" Russian fighter jet.

Mandi and I at the "Foreign Weapons" museum. They had some pretty neat things from other countries and it was neat to really climb in and around them... kinda scary to think of the weapons that are out there.

Brinley is my little cabinet cleaner, this time Marlee tried to help. I love it when she tries to keep up with the rest of the gang. Can't believe how fast she is growing!

Brinley was scared one night and wanted to sleep with a picture of me. We don't exactly have those laying around the house! So I found an old Christmas card from when she was 18 months old. It was fun to look at and she was excited to sleep with it :)

Marlee LOVES to be outside! We have all been enjoying the great weather!

Casen has been loving preschool. Here is one of his crafts, or "homework" as he calls it.

They made these cute leprechauns at Michelle's house.

Brinley likes to do math (so did I at her age, mainly cause I was a horrible reader :)) It was fun to see her bring some math school work home.

Brinley and Casen watching "Beautiful Heart" break music video on YouTube. It is by Hilary Weeks and it is amazing. I have to be honest and say that I have cried nearly everytime I have watched it... and I've probably watched it 2 dozen times! We all love it. Reminds us of the struggles we all go through and the blessings that can come from them. Everyone has or is dealing with a challenge, they are just all different. So grateful for a Savoir to help us get through this life if we let Him. If you haven't seen this music video, go to YouTube and watch it NOW!

Yay for rainy days! Brinley has to play outside everytime it rains, reminds me of myself at that age!

Casen usually doesn't last as long in the rain, but Brinley looked like she was having too much fun so he had to join her!

On nights when Ryan is gone I will sometimes do a "picnic" in the family room with the kids... eat dinner and watch a show. Poor Marlee usually has to stay in the kitchen, but this time I let her join the party and she was pretty excited!

Love her.

Good thing we have Marlee the scavenger to clear our plates for us :)

Walked outside to find these beauties swinging on the porch swing together on Sunday afternoon and had to grab a picture.

Marlee loving the "roller coaster" and Casen being a good big brother and actually giving her a turn.

Breakfast in the treehouse with friends, doesn't get much better does it?

Michelle, Jessica and I enjoyed a breakfast outside to celebrate Jess' 30th birthday! We had a great time chatting, as usual with these two :) It was fun to get to celebrate her birthday with her!

Little Natalie wanted a picture too, and isn't she just a doll??

Before we had kids I would try and get Ryan to share food with me, whenever he would put up a fight I would remind him that when we had kids they would always want some of whatever he was eating. Now he just looks at me and smiles everytime the kids steal him food, which is quite often. Marlee is no exception.

The kids had fun sliding down the slide in pillow case and even Marlee wanted to do it. Unfortunately it was low light and with the motion all the pics were blurry except for this one.

We planted some seeds that our friends the Nye's gave us and after 10 days the sunflowers started to sprout. We were all pretty excited and have had fun watching them and the other plants start to grow. I think it's pretty neat to see how they sprout out of the shell.

Casen is learning to ride with no training wheels. He INSISTED. It has been a little rough but I am so proud of him for not giving up!

Yay Bubby!

Sneaking Marlee's food! She normally DOES NOT like to share food :)

3rd outside eating picture, but she is loving it and so am I.

Soccer practice started the beginning of February and we still haven't had a game! The messed the schedule up and games don't start til April 14th! We will definitely be ready!

Just being cute in the outfit Grandma Q sent :)

It was reading week at Brinley's school and each day had a theme. I volunteered to dress up and read to the class. I was there about 30 minutes and had fun reading with the kids!

This awesome fort stayed up for several days. The first night they had fun eating dinner together in there. I remember loving making forts :)

Remember what I said about the kids stealing Ryan's food? Case and point... the kids serve Ryan breakfast in bed.... notice the food in each of there hands. It is hard to see cause it blends in, but Marlee has a muffin in her hand :)

  3. I love catching up on your blog! Love your hair curly too by the way! Can't believe how big your kids are getting, especially Marlee. So funny you guys still watch the Hilary Weeks video, after being at your house I thought it was such a great idea I came home and did it for our family home evening. Your such a good mom! Oh and we never went to the Vegas Zoo, heard it was't worth it. We are obsessed with our zoo lately!

  4. Love all the pictures! Like a little glimpse into your home and lives. I love it! Way to go Casen for riding without training wheels! That's hard to do around here because we don't have sidewalks!
