Hawaii Day 3

On Day #3 we headed out from the Marriott Resort and spent the day on the other side of the island before heading the Aulani, the Disney Resort.

Enjoying the water before heading out. So happy to be here with these 3 :)

I loved the view and landscape at the Marriott! Such beautiful grounds.

One family shot before heading out for the day.

Before heading out we swung by the Disney Resort. The view from the balcony at Aulani where we were staying next. This is Ryan and his friend Rob from school.

First we headed to the Dole Plantation, it wasn't all we hoped for but we still had a good time :)

We took a train ride around the plantation... pretty anti-climatic :) But we did learn that each plant only growns 1 pineapple and it takes almost two years to just grow one!! Crazy! No wonder they are so amazing :)

Two chubby pineapples! Aren't they cute :)

Marlee was being pretty grouchy (nap time) I couldn't get her to walk, until she started walking backwards. It was seriously the cutest thing ever. She was cracking herself up! :)

Family picture in the giant "Dole Whip Pineapple". The kids had fun with all the props.

We each got our own "Dole Whip" treat. Pretty much pineapple ice-cream. It was pretty yummy... but way too big of servings, we definitely should have shared!

The Rainbow Eucalyptus tree. The layers of different colors show through as the bark is peeled off.

Next we headed to the Polynesian Cultural Center.  Started off by watching a parade on the water... kids favorite part was when one of the guys fell off the boat into the water :)

The kids were supposed to be 8 to play the ukulele, but this man was so nice and let all the kids try it.

We had a fun time on our family canoe ride, the kids all did a great job!

Went for a canoe ride in "Tonga"

Casen had fun paddling on his own.

Marlee being a big girl as usual :)

Marlee was our little tour guide. She was definitely deep in thought :)

Marlee thought all the girls dressed in the tradition dresses were "princesses." Made the girls feel pretty special :)

This little gal was from New Zealand and was a freshman at BYU-Hawaii, she worked in the New Zealand area at the PPC.

Trying to start a fire! Ryan and I both got it to make smoke but never started a flame!

After the PPC we went to see the LDS Temple. It was definitely beautiful! Marlee was being grouchy but Ryan and the kids went up close.

After the temple we grabbed dinner and headed to Sunset beach. It was getting dark by the time we got there but we still had so much fun... one of my favorite parts of the whole trip :)

The waves had such a strong under tow! The kids kept getting pulled in and we would have to pull them back out. Maybe not the safest but they were having a blast!

I love this one! They were just too cute together.

I got a turn to play with the kiddos while Ryan took pictures. So much fun!

I love this picture of Marlee. She came to say hi to me and then went sprinting back. Can't get enough of that girl!

All worn out! These two shared a bed and did pretty good staying on there own side, but I think they were too exhausted to care this night :)
