Aunt Jess and Northern California!

My little sister Jessica came to visit the first week of April. She will be leaving on her mission to Tacoma, WA the beginning of June. It was fun to get to spend some time with her before she goes. The kids loved seeing her! She was also so kind and watch Brinley and Casen while Ryan, Marlee, and I headed to Northern CA. We checked out Travis AFB which is close to Vacaville, and then spent part of a day in San Fransisco and attending the opening social for Wharton.

Brinley was pretty excited to have Aunt Jess come watch her gymnastics class. This picture was taken on my phone through a glass window, so the quality isn't the best... but I liked the picture :)

Casen loves to have Marlee lay by him in bed, even for just a minute :)

Sleeping Beauty

I took this on my phone through the car windshield, I wish I would of stopped and got a good shot. This is the view you see when leaving the AFB on your way to Vacaville, less than 10 min away.

Another low quality photo, high quality pose :)

Meantime Brinley was back home doing trick for Aunt Jess - her super bendy back bend!

Brinley braided Aunt Jess's hair!

I had to put this picture up to remind me about how cold it was the weekend we were gone... and how I forgot to tell Jess to turn on the heater... and how the kids had to wear socks and sweaters inside because it was 63 degrees in our house! So sad! And a little funny :)

This is after I had Jess turn the heat on. Casen doing his sweet back bend, shirtless.

We got to visit some of our good friends from when we lived in Mississippi, who are now at Travis AFB. Their little boy Jonas and Brinley were quite the friends at age 1! This is their younger son Lindon who we got to meet for the first time. He was so cute with Marlee, and will be a good big brother to his baby brother on the way!

Becca, Kelsey, Lindon

Lindon, Kelsey, Jonas, and Oliver. It was so fun to see the Woodland family! Such fun friends, hopefully it won't be too long until our next visit!

Another view on the way into Vacaville. I LOVED the green fields! Beautiful!

We got to go to dinner with our friends the Bachelors and celebrated Jason's birthday! They are also friends from pilot training in Mississippi and it was so fun to see them and their cute boys! They were even kind enough to put us up for a night! More great friends that we miss and wish we got to see more often!

Downtown San Fran

We took the BART (train system) to downtown and then walked to the Wharton campus for the big opening social. I wish I would of taken pictures inside, it was quite the event! Very cool to see the caliber of people that Ryan will be attending school with and also where he will be going every other weekend for the next 2 years! I am excited for him!

Beautiful clouds on the way home. I always love looking out the window when I fly.

We made it home safe and were glad to find the kids happy and healthy thanks to Jess!

I bought Brinley this shirt and she was pretty excited to wear it, and model it. She said it looked like a Mommy shirt :)

This picture of Marlee reminded me of the picture below if Brinley --minus the hair and the coloring :)

I always put our church shoes on the stairs after church and then take them up with me the next time I go upstairs. I looked at this line up of shoes and just thought how lucky I am to have these little girlies and how much I will miss their little shoes :) haha

Aunt Jess and miss Marlee. Jess we the first one from my side of the family (besides my Mom ofcourse) who got to meet Marlee.

We headed to Floyd Lamb before Jess had to go to the airport and enjoyed a nice walk in the beautiful weather.

So green and pretty this time of year, at least at this park. Doesn't even seem like Vegas!

Grandma Q bought Casen this shirt, definitley describes him in this picture!

Satisfied with his destruction?

One last good-bye hug for Aunt Jess! We love you!

  1. Oh I'm so jealous you got to go to San Fran and see the bestest part of the country ever (just a little biased)! Crazy how much your girls look alike as babies... definitely a family resemblance for you guys :)
